How many applicants will submit Why X School essay? Forum

I know many schools use Why X School as yield protection method, but how many applicants will do this? I'm considering whether I should write Why X School to my dream schools or safety schools or both?

Dream schools are HYS and safety schools are lower T14s. numbers: LSAT174 + GPA 3.9.

Don't write Why X for HYSCCN. Write for lower T14 especially Penn, UVA, & Michigan. Duke is getting on the YP bandwagon too, I believe.

What should you write about safety schools? Obviously they are not my first choice.

Because even if you think they're safety schools, they will reject you for yield protect if they realize you think that.
