Please Help Me Switch ED to RD UChi

Post by btruj777 » Tue Oct 25, 2016 12:57 pm

Hello,

A lot of TLSers on here have been recomending that I email UChi saying that I should switch from ED to RD. I need help in writing an email that does offend them or make them want to totally ignore me as an applicant.

Summary:

3.95/167
Hispanic (Peruvian/Cuban)
ED to UChi
4 years WE

People seem to agree that going RD v. ED will put me in a better position for scholarships (I agree) but does that mean I take an additional risk of not getting accepted?

You're overthinking this. They won't hold it against you that you decided not to do ED. They know it's a big decision.

The email doesn't need to be anything fancy. Just be polite and get to the point.

Thank you for your reply.

Is this what you would do if you were in my shoes, and UChi was your absolute dream school?

Are you willing to pay $250k for your absolute dream?

Seems like a pretty shitty dream to me. You'd be better off in another (read: any) t14 then doing ED and sticker to UC.
