Anyone able to recommend splitter schools for candidates with a low UGPA?
170, 3.6, white male

I'd still apply to the T14. Skip HYS if you want to save money.
You'll get pretty good offers from the lower T14 (where you're not even technically a splitter) and probably end up there.
T20's (especially WUSTL) will give you full rides to negotiate with.

I'm a white male with a 3.4 gpa and a 172 and I got close to a full ride at WUSTL and an interview at a top ten school.
I think you'll be fine. Like the other poster said- you're really not even a splitter at most of the lower t14s.
