Optional Essays for ED

Post by swoonster » Sun Oct 23, 2016 3:11 pm

The school I'm applying ED to has 3 optional essays. Would it show poorly if I only do 2 of the 3 optional essays? The third is a broad essay regarding the law schools values and how I match with them. I think it'll hurt the overall quality of my essays if I submit it but I don't want to look uncommitted either. What are your thoughts? Does my ED application make up for not doing the third essay?

I'd write a good essay that doesn't bring down the rest.

Then don't write that one. Optional essay is generally for yield protection. People go for ED already show highest level commitment.
