Retake a 177?

Post by ivankasta » Wed Oct 19, 2016 6:38 pm

Just got my 177 Sept score. I have a 3.73 uGPA so I'll be a splitter at the top schools.

177 is on the lower end of my PTs since I averaged 178 over the last 15 and scored 180 on 3 of my last 5 PTs. Should I cancel my December test or shoot for the 178,179,180?

Does Harvard care if I have a 179 instead of a 177? Or should I just focus on keeping my GPA up and improving softs?

People are going to yell at you and/or tell you that you'll fit right in at Harvard

Retaking (regardless of outcome) will make you look to admissions how you look to us: like the nozzle end of a douchebag.

ArtistofManliness put it bluntly, but I agree: retaking is all downside in the OP's situation.

Do douchebags have actual nozzles? Serious and important question.

How else do you get the douche out of the bag?
