Business vs Helping The World

Post by bagelofthedamnd » Thu Oct 06, 2016 9:04 pm

I'm interested in doing IP law and corporate law in general. How much of my writing can focus on wanting to build new businesses and products instead versus talking about how much I want to help the world? How much does that stuff matter?

I went to law school because I was interested in business law, and I expressed that interest on my personal statement. It was honest, genuine, and I thought was a solid representation of myself as a person and my career goals. It was also effective, I got in everywhere I applied to.

My position when applying was that if someone was going to reject me based on my PS they were going to have to reject me based on who I actually am, and not some made up version of myself.
