What are your job duties? Describe them. Come up with a job title that makes sense for those duties. If necessary, invent multiple titles and call yourself a "Cashier / Line cook" (or whatever) if your duties don't meld neatly into a single title.
Not really sure why this is so hard. It doesn't matter whether the company makes a lot of money, being a cashier is being a cashier. Even if you're just working in the family shop and not actually taking home a paycheck (but I assume living off the profits, such as they are? Living with your family?), it's still work experience.

No, it's not volunteering, since you are receiving compensation (in the form of room/board/etc. from your family) for your work for the family business.
A resume is not a tax return and they don't contain the same information. The fact that there's no HR department cutting you bi-weekly paychecks doesn't make it volunteer work.
Putting aside my earlier restaurant/shop examples, now I'm guessing a farm. Am I close?

Dude(tte), you worked for a business. Who cares what the specific taxable arrangements of your situation was. If it felt like a job, put it on your app as a job. Done.
