Problem with recommendations?

Post by paperworkjim » Sun Sep 11, 2016 11:51 pm

Hey all,

Thanks for all the help you guys have given me thus far.

I have a little bit of a problem. I am about a year away from applying to Law Schools, and I only have one professor who can give me a solid recommendation. I didn't spend too much time, unfortunately, developing my relationships with professors. One year out, any advice for what I can do to get that second rec now that I am away from school? Thanks guys.

I am working -- but for a lot of the schools that I am planning on applying to (namely, Yale), they strongly recommend two LoR from professors.

Well, since reaching out to a professor who won't remember you to get coffee would be weird, I'd just sacrifice Yale's preference and get yourself a recommendation from your boss.
