Reapply Early this Cycle with Same Score and Application Forum

Hi TLS,

I applied to law school this past cycle with the following:

169/3.85 with 2 years of consulting related to financial law

I applied to HLS in January and was waitlisted and ultimately rejected. I am out of tries for the LSAT, so if I were to apply this cycle, I would essentially have the same LSAT/application, but I could do it on the first day the application window opens up. Do you think this is worth a shot, or should I wait until I can take the LSAT again and apply in the next next cycle?

What is the alternative if you didn't? Would you go to school this year instead or work for a couple of years?

I don't think you'll get into Harvard with your LSAT. Retake for that school. Really, I'd retake since 1-2 points would be life changing for you.

Thanks both! I have a pretty solid job, so waiting a couple of years instead of one isn't a huge deal; just wanted to know if I had a shot.

To Dcc617, LOL I know - 169 is the devil's score.

Are you only interested in HLS and no other law schools? I think most people here (including myself) would find that line of thinking quite odd. Or maybe HLS is the dream but you'd be happy at other schools.

In either case wait and retake is probably the better option.
