Retaking- Should I wait to apply?
Hi all. I'm retaking the LSAT after getting a 164. I have a 3.86. Aiming for 170s and think it's possible, especially considering my best friend passed out during the test when I got a 164 and this definitely affected me. Should I wait to apply to schools until after I get my score from the September test? Thanks in advance

No. Apply. Then retake and update them w ur score. Schools dont give a rats ass so long as you are admitted w a good score. Tell them while 160ish is a good score, you can do better, ans that u r retaking to be more competitive. If u end up w a similar score, then u r either offered or denied. If offered cool. If not then try again next year w a better score.
Not applying for score alone is not a good use of your 1 year.

I'd probably wait. If you send them your application materials and ask them to hold off until you get your new score, they will look at it when you new score comes in. No point in submitting application materials on day 1 when you can receive your new score and still be applying early. That way you can gauge if you will need to retake again, also.

This. Get your materials ready to go so you can submit them once you get your score back, but even applying after the September test will still be plenty early in the cyclelymenheimer wrote:No point in submitting application materials on day 1 when you can receive your new score and still be applying early. I'm also on the 'wait' train. You can still apply early in the cycle with a September LSAT score.JG820 wrote:Hi all. I'm retaking the LSAT after getting a 164. I have a 3.86.
