Updating schools on application changes

Post by Giro423 » Tue Aug 02, 2016 5:25 pm

Do schools really want you to inform them of any change on your application? In my case I'm planning on traveling through Southeast Asia next spring/early summer, and leaving my job to do so before school. If on my application that employer was listed as current, would I have to let them know that I left?

I would generally say no.

You could on your resume probably just put an end date for that job even if the end date is in the future.

Alternatively, if your travels are related to some minority status you have then you could mention the trip in a DS. Or if your trip is directly related to your reasons for wanting to go to law school then you could find a place to mention that somewhere (PS/DS/addendum)
