Did LSAC make a mistake with my transcript?

Post by musiclover123 » Tue Jul 26, 2016 2:55 pm

I recently sent my transcript to LSAC and it was processed. I studied abroad for a semester [it was only a 4 month program and my grades are included in my home institution's transcript, so I was told I would not need to send a second transcript]. My study abroad credits did not appear on my academic summary report, and there was no notation that I received said credits from study abroad, although the academic summary report key says there should be. I called LSAC twice to ask about this and received two different answers. Should I continue to question this? I just want to make sure all of my credits are accounted for. The grades I received from study abroad did not impact my GPA, so my GPA is the same either way

Is this because they weren't counted on your undergraduate transcript?

If that's the case, then you may need to submit a separate transcript from the program, because LSAC needs all your grades, not just those that contributed to your GPA on your undergraduate transcript.

I was just confused by your phrasing, because if they were graded classes, they impacted your GPA.

So they show up as graded on your actual transcript, but LSAC isn't showing any record of the classes? Have you looked at a copy of your transcript to confirm that LSAC got a version with the grades included?

Ah I meant it just so happened that my GPA stayed the same after my semester abroad. And yes, I have confirmed that they are on the transcript that was sent to LSAC, and have confirmed with LSAC that they know the classes are on the transcript. LSAC just isn't reporting them on my academic summary report
