Work Experience

Post by TuxedoCats » Sun Jul 10, 2016 10:19 am

I have something like 14 years of work experience at this point, how much of that should be included in my application? My resume includes only internships and work experience from when I started grad school in 2008. Do they really need to know about my job slinging ice cream at the shore when I was 16?

I don't think it matters much for schools, but I have heard tell that when you apply for the bar, they want a complete work history. So might as well get it on your apps to have an easy reference down the line.

You should look at how your state (or whatever state you want to work in) does C&F. When you apply to take the Bar, C&F will ask you for all employment for a fairly long period of time (I vaguely remember that CA is 10 years, but not positive on that). Your C&F application will then be compared to your Bar application, and you could hold up C&F if they don't match.
