LSAC Undergraduate Institutions Attended
Will the LSAC automatically know which undergraduate institutions I attended, or do I have to add them manually? If they do know automatically, how do they know? Is it based off SSN/SIN or something else? I am in a Canadian undergrad if that makes a difference.

No you will have to report all schools you attended and send transcripts with your application. You could get away with leaving off a school on your app, but then you would be royally screwed come time for character and fitness for the bar. They will run a background and see that you attended a school not mentioned in your application!
Tl;dr you have to report it. They don't know automatically

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the quick response. How does the bar determine institutions attended, especially if the institutions is from a different country (namely Canada)? Just trying to understand this whole process.Nachoo2019 wrote:No you will have to report all schools you attended and send transcripts with your application. I'm really not sure how they determine it for international students. But with US students and easy background check can show where you've paid tuition and what schools you've applied for financial aid.CoolHouse wrote:Ok, that makes sense. Again, idk how it works with international, and who knows the bar could never find out. But would you really want to spend 3 years of law school and have your legal career ended because you didn't disclose a school you attended?
Doesn't seem like it is worth the risk
