I was recently admitted to Upenn off the waitlist, and given information about a deposit and a commitment to matriculate form. I was wondering if anyone here who has been accepted and/or is attending Penn could tell me if signing that statement means withdrawing from other waitlists.
I am currently still waitlisted to Harvard, and I don't want to blow that opportunity if I do not have to. Please let me know if this is not the case, and if I can remain on the waitlist.

Typically schools cannot force you to remove your name from other waitlists, according to LSAC guidelines. They can only force you to turn down other offers of admission.

I signed that form (not off waitlist) and then when I got off waitlist at H asked Penn for more money (but I was above medians etc.).
Short answer, they don't make you get off waitlists and I don't think they are allowed to per ABA guidelines as labergel said.
