Should I put on resume?

Post by PSPSPSPS » Mon Jun 06, 2016 8:39 am

I am interning for a U.S senator(R) this summer (unpaid). I start 1L in August. My question is - should I even be putting this on my resume next semester / or will the republican association actually hurt when looking for jobs. Great experience I guess but the reason I'm asking is I kind of hate it and am looking for a reason to leave/ I want to be able to put this on my resume if I stay. I could just work a minimum wage job instead for some extra cash

Yes on Resume, and No on hurting your prospects.

I guess your question is whether the political affiliation will hurt your job prospects. Other than in the extreme case that you're working for a senator that is notable for opposing a cause related to a public interest position that you hope to work in, no. :)
