Hey Guys,
So has anyone here seriously left a good career/job to take a shot at law school and a law career? I am very hesitant to commit my application because of the uncertainty of the law field and the fear of leaving a secure job. I posted a while back of my situation and took the lsat scoring a 168. I have a very low gpa but 5 years of experience in the regulatory/biotech industry. I have gained alot of knowledge and respect in my company and am unsure if I should leave it for a shot at law. Without going into too much detail I am currently making ~$55,000 with alot of room for growth and a free masters that will be paid by the company. Leave it all behind for law school?
Can anyone can share their experience in leaving a good career for law? Would you go back if you could or was it/is it worth it?
Thanks

No, don't go to law school, your options will be sub-par compared to your current circumstances. Get the masters and stay working.

55K with no debt and lots of room for growth seems like a sweet deal. If you're on the fence about law school, I vote don't go. Law school is a dicey proposition and you should only go if you're certain it's what you want.

I was a GS-13 federal law enforcement officer making over $100K since age 30 and left to pursue a law degree.

Thank you all for the responses, but to poster above:wolf wrote:I was a GS-13 federal law enforcement officer making over $100K since age 30 and left to pursue a law degree.
Was it worth it? Are you curretly in law school or are you already in the legal field? Any regrets? I'm assuming you left your last job for a heavy interest in the legal field?
