Will Columbia Law match merit scholarships from other T-14?
Does anyone have any verifiable information on whether CLS will ever match/up their scholarship offers when presented with higher offers from other T-14s? Are there certain schools - like Chicago/NYU - that might hold more weight when it comes to something like this? Please help! Thanks.

Cls will consider merit offers from Chicago, NYU, and Penn, and need based offers from Yale, Stanford, and Harvard, for negotiation purposes. There's no guarantees and they often will not budge, but there have been verified successes at these schools.

I was also able to successfully leverage a Northwestern/Duke offer this cycle for an increase to my Columbia financial aid package, although they didn't match it completely! I did also inform them about my (higher) NYU offer, but made it clear that I wasn't planning on accepting it and didn't provide a copy of the award letter, so I'm not sure how much or how little of an effect that might have had.jbagelboy wrote:Cls will consider merit offers from Chicago, NYU, and Penn, and need based offers from Yale, Stanford, and Harvard, for negotiation purposes. While they did offer me merit aid, they did NOT match NYU (or Duke), who both offered ~70k total. YMMV.jbagelboy wrote:Cls will consider merit offers from Chicago, NYU, and Penn, and need based offers from Yale, Stanford, and Harvard, for negotiation purposes.
