2 Questions Concerning Law School Admission
1. How much does the GPA numerical value really matter? Meaning, does the number alone matter the most or do admissions offices also take into heavy consideration the level of the classes you are taking? If getting a 4.0 is really what matters the most, I guess I would choose classes that I know I can succeed and probably avoid some of the courses that are considered "harder" or higher-level. However, if that isn't the case, then is it a better option to just take higher-level classes and do your best? As a frame of reference, my college offers an honors program in which we would end up writing a thesis and taking higher-level questions before graduating. I was wondering if doing it would be a good idea.
2. How much does the number of credits matter to admissions committees? If the number of credits really doesn't matter that much, then naturally I would take the minimum number of credits to graduate, and focus intently on succeeding in those particular classes. However, if the minimum number of credits or just above that number wouldn't look so good, should I take the maximum number of classes that I can while still being able to hold a half-decent GPA?
Sorry if these are very obvious questions or have been asked before.

A high GPA is what is going to matter most (of course and your LSAT) Getting a 4.0 in basket weaving will put you in a better position then having a 3.3 in physics. Hard majors may be a nice soft factor, but again, High GPA will matter most.
I am actually not sure about the credit question. I would assume as long as you get what you need to graduate the LSAC and the schools you apply to won't really care. I just tried looking online but couldn't find anything concrete so, yeah, I think you'd be fine with the minimum credits required for graduation to obtain your UG degree.

Of course man. I would say if you're absolutely set on law school just focus on getting a great GPA/LSAT and you'll be golden.

It is also important to consider the back up plan though. Having a 3.3 and a physics degree is a much better path than a 4.0 and a basket weaving degree if law achool ends up not being the path for whatever reason. Granted the above examples are extremes. 1. A high GPA is what matters. Like others have said, having a difficult major at best will be a soft factor, if at all.
2. As long as you end up with a bachelors degree, LSAC doesn't care. But be aware that once you are awarded your first bachelors degree, all credits/degrees earned after that won't be factored into your LSAC GPA, only your first bachelors degree credits will.
