Hey Everyone,
I've been waitlisted at the University of Oregon and Lewis and Clark since late January. I've updated them with transcripts, LOCI, etc. I received an offer for a half ride to Gonzaga but I don't want to go there. My parents are pressuring me to go to Gonzaga and not risk waiting on UO and L&C. At this point I'm considering setting up a meeting with an admissions counselor at both schools to ask what I can do to get off the waitlist- is this a good idea or bad?
Thank you guys!

Unless your parents are paying for your entire degree + Cost of living I would not advise going to any of those schools without a full scholarship. It is also highly unlikely that you will receive a scholarship off of the waitlist anywhere. TCR would be to retake and reapply for scholarship money at UO or L&C.

Re: Waitlisted
My GPA is 3.45, LSAT 152. Last term I took 27 credits and got a 3.62. I want to study IP or Business Law. My parents pay for my tuition and living expenses, although I plan on pitching in next year by getting a job because I feel bad that they pay for everything. I have no debt or student loans.

You need to check the employment statistics from these schools and see if they align with your goals. Traditionally "IP or Business Law" are going to be in a bigger sized firm, so you will want to aim higher than these two schools. You should take more time to study for the LSAT. With your GPA, you can get into some solid schools. And with your parents planning to pay for tuition anyways, I wouldn't sell yourself short for a free education.cjoseph wrote:My GPA is 3.45, LSAT 152. Last term I took 27 credits and got a 3.62.
