OSU for 60k?

Post by PSPSPSPS » Wed Apr 20, 2016 12:24 pm

Is Moritz a bad choice for 61.5k total debt?
-From Ohio, wouldn't mind working in Columbus or Cincy.
-Would be taking out 20.5 per year loan, the rest is covered.
-I did get into better schools but wouldn't like any more debt than living expenses and honestly I want to start my career in Ohio.
-Looking at the employment numbers, it appears that if I finish around median (obviously not the goal) I'll still make enough to not have trouble paying the loans back. Also, parents will be paying interest for the 3 years so they will stay at 61.5

Thanks for any advice.

60k total debt for a flagship state school in the location you want to practice without delusions of big law? I think that's okay. Sounds good to me.

I agree that it sounds good. However, be aware that your total debt will exceed 61.5K. Interest, baby, interest.
