UCLA or BU?
I have to submit a seat deposit by Friday of this week and am completely torn between Boston University and UCLA. Both have offered me very generous aid, although Boston's scholarship offer was higher than UCLA's. I am interested in public interest/human rights or international law and am passionate about the law as it relates to violence against women. UCLA has areas of focus in public interest and international human rights law, while BU does not. However, BU has an area of focus in international law. I am originally from a small town in the South and have never lived in a big city. My family is all in the South, so UCLA is very far from home/family. However, the weather very dramatically affects my mood and Boston is cold and dreary almost all the time. Both schools have great programs and are similar in ranking. I'm not sure where I want to settle down and practice after graduation. I'd appreciate any advice as I have no idea what to do.

Re: UCLA or BU?
Typically, students evaluate the cost, location, and a law school’s focus areas. It is best to evaluate how much debt, if any, you will incur after law school as well as where you would like to practice in the future. Is it California, Massachusetts, or neither? Also, evaluate which area of law you are interested in and see if the school offers any internship or job opportunities in those areas. As you noted, location is a big factor for you so that is important when evaluating.
Best of luck!
