Question About Staying on Waitlists

Post by chaitealatte » Mon Mar 28, 2016 5:01 pm

This is most likely a dumb question, but imagine you're waitlisted at H and S. If you accept a spot at say, Columbia and pay a deposit, are you allowed to stay on the waitlists at other schools, or does putting a deposit down require you to withdraw all applications elsewhere? Can your accepted school find out that you're still holding onto waitlist options at other schools? Does this impact your ability to negotiate for scholarships at your school of choice?

Thanks.

Yes, you can remain on waitlists for schools where you have been WLed after committing to attend another school.
