You should affirmatively withdraw from consideration/admission. You can do it through email. I don't think you need to mention that you will not be enrolling anywhere this year or why you are not attending.

In the spirit of not burning bridges, I think it's a good idea to let them know why you're withdrawing if you plan on coming back later. Now, some schools will take you regardless of how you withdrew the first time, but letting them know is very low cost to you and can only benefit you down the road.

I don't think saying nothing will hurt you, but if you want to put your mind at ease you can always just say something like "I believe I would benefit by having another year before starting law school, and look forward to re-applying next year"

Yield protect is a real thing, and withdrawing an acceptance sends a pretty big signal about your desire to go to a school. I think that it would be important to talk to the adcoms about why you are withdrawing. For example, talking to the admissions folk at the school about how you love their school but want to get a better lsat score so you can be in the running for more/better scholarships, get another year of we, and save money to help with the debt burden, it will probably put your next app in a more flattering light.
