Looking for advice on a current law admissions dilemma

Post by antivegetable » Wed Mar 23, 2016 8:13 pm

White male at Cornell University undergrad (senior) applied to a few law schools with my subpar LSAT score (163) and not great GPA (3.6). Got rejected by GULC and Berkeley already, most likely going to get a no from Cornell as well. Was accepted to Fordham with a fat scholarship. I have had my mind set on Big Law and the t14 for as long as I can remember. I basically have two options here:

(1) Do I go to Fordham and work my a** off to be around the top of my class and try to transfer to a better school after a year -or-

(2) Take a gap year and work part-time as a paralegal in NYC while studying to retake the LSAT and reapply to law school (It should be noted that I really think I can do better on the LSAT, my last four diagnostics before the real deal were on average a 169)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Literally ZERO reason to not do this

Exactly. If you think you can go from a 163 to a 169 or 170, the time spent prepping will probably give you the biggest return on any investment you'll make in your life.
