I caved and listened to TLS conventional wisdom.
I've improved my score to the point that applicants with similar LSAT/GPA (according to LSN, this year and last) have received 6 figure $$$ from Cornell, for example, but I am currently on the waitlist because of my previous score. How soon can I expect to be admitted (assuming I even will)?
Given that I am now competitive enough to receive substantial $$$, will I still have to wait until the allotted/given time for waitlist candidate rereviews? Or can I expect movement off of the waitlist at Cornell, and other places, before then?

Re: Retook LSAT, when to expect waitlist acceptance and/or $$$
If you're on Cornell's waitlist, the earliest you should expect to hear is shortly after Cornell's first deposit deadline (May 1st). Hopefully, in your case, they will see your glittering new score the moment they look at the waitlist and give you a call immediately.
Scholarships for waitlisted folks tend to vary significantly school to school. It's possible they will give you a ton of money, it's also possible they will not. Whatever happens, it will not be nearly as predictable as it would be in an initial cycle. An early waitlist call would seem to give you a greater chance at neogitating the best financial package.
