Letters of Rec for YLS

Post by potuslarry » Tue Feb 02, 2016 7:56 pm

I know Yale has an admissions process where faculty members read applications and are involved in the decision-making process. Due to this, do letters of rec for Yale have greater importance than LOR at other top schools?

I would think that at almost every school, relatively high GPA and LSAT scores can be sufficient for admittance whereas at Yale (and maybe a few other schools like Stanford), high scores are only necessary, because at some point everyone has high scores, so letters of rec and the other parts of an application are the true differentiators.
