Naïve question, I am sure, but, how late is too late to apply for admissions? I know that I am late as far as this cycle is concerned, but I think I am not too late. Is that correct? What should be the deadline to keep in mind? Is it the fellowship deadline that should drive the timeline?

The end of January is the latest you can usually go without a substantial risk of under-performing your numbers (but there still is the risk). Really the deadline is the hard deadlines law schools set for applications, and if you are at the 75th %'s for both GPA and LSAT, a school will make an extra space for you and some poor guy on the WL will stay there. Some schools will take February scores for the same cycle, but most of them are TTT
