Urgent question about Education Section!-Applying

Post by danielneuman613 » Sun Jan 10, 2016 10:01 am

I took college summer courses for years, plus a semester at Miami dade, before I settled at my graduating college, and began it full time. On the Education section found on almost every application, I was told to list every of the "part time" colleges normally, except that the main university I graduated from, which i was told to list it as starting from the very first college summer class (back in 2008) to graduation. But now I'm not sure... is it asking when specifically I went to that college/campus or the overall years of the degree (which technically span 8 years). Or will they figure it out either way? Really worried because I'm about halfway through my applications when I suddenly grew concerned...

Thanks.

Daniel

I'm fairly certain it's just the years attendend, i.e. any year you took a class. The best way to get real advice is to wait until tomorrow and call the admissions office.

I know you're anxious to send your applications, but one day in January isn't going to make a difference.

Yeah I agree, I think they want you to list any years that you took a class at the college.

They're not going to think that you attended the school full-time for 8 years, because they're going to read your transcripts. Admissions officers read transcripts all the time, they will be able to easily see which terms you took courses and which terms you didn't. I think you may be overthinking it.
