Quick question about updating your app? Forum

So, I just got offered a position serving as a one of the main persons on a huge pro-bono project at the firm I work at. Few questions.

1. Is this significant enough to let schools know about? (I work at a pretty major firm in NYC and the project is by no means small - it also spans across several of our branches).
2. How would I go about the update? Attached word document about my offer and acceptance in an email? or should I simply write it in body of the email?
3. Should I send this update to the schools that haven't gotten back to me yet?!

I applied early and should be getting decisions back soon so quick responses are really appreciated! (i'd hate to get a rejection and not have told them this).Thanks.
