It's generally appropriate to provide a stamped mailing envelope for those professors who are mailing within the nation, so I don't think the ethical side is against you. It likely won't be awkward unless you propose it awkwardly. Someone may have another opinion (I don't really know the right answer, but these are my first thoughts about it)

Just offer to reimburse your prof, and she will likely decline, and you thank her again.
