Fall semester grades.
The worst has come to pass and I believe I bombed a final.
I'm a K J.D
I am applying as soon as I get my December LSAT score. Is it weird if I don't update the transcript? What are the chances of them asking for it?
I already have a transcript processed in LSAC without the fall semester grades. It's a 3.55 and I'm afraid it's going to fall below 3.5

From what I've seen it's not a good idea to apply KJD. You will face extreme competition getting biglaw as most applicants have experience and you won't.
I was aiming to go K-JD but I've decided to take a year off and work before I apply.
Also you need work experience for NU if you are thinking of going for the ED option

For one, you didn't even address the OP's question.Sparkymilarky wrote:What's the problem? Asshole
For two, nobody gives a damn what you decided to do or why. That doesn't answer the question, or even support your claim that the OP will face extreme competition.
For three, OP doesn't mention NU at all. You're like that kid in elementary school who learns something one day and just shouts it at random people because you think it's smart.
For four, OP won't face extreme competition when placed against the other KJDs, which there are plenty of in law school, so your info, while not necessarily wrong, is a strong generalization of the actual facts.
For five, I can't tell if, by this comment, you are posing a question and then answering it yourself, or calling me an asshole. So clearly, based on this outburst, there is something wrong with you mentally and I hope you get it checked out before you decide to matriculate.

OP is KJD and wants advice on what to do. I gave it to him. I don't think you understand how this place works.
If someone asks whether it's better chance of acceptance to piss or shit over their application to Harvard, a considerate responder would advice not to defecate in the first place. K-JDs have a harder time at getting jobs post graduation. If you think you can easily get a 160k salary without having worked a full time job before you are severely mistaken.

You're not even talking about his application. You're talking about his career prospects. OP is trying to figure out how to improve getting admitted to a school, not discussing where he wants to work. Where did OP say he wants to go biglaw anyways? People with shitty social skills have a harder time than KJDs regardless of work experience, so you're gonna need more luck than OP.Sparkymilarky wrote:OP is KJD and wants advice on what to do. Re: Fall semester grades.
The "just get a job bro" meme that keeps getting thrown around is annoying and not particularly useful. Yes, "substantive" work experience is good for admissions and OCI, but many KJDs can't just get a decent job straight out of college. That's why they're going to law school in the first place.Sparkymilarky wrote:What's the problem? Asshole
Would OP benefit from taking time off? Maybe, maybe not. But that isn't what this post is about anyway.
