I would. I feel like this is the kind of case that they allow/want people to submit an addendum for.

Agreed, very rarely do I think it's a good idea to write an addendum. This is one of those instances.

My only advice would be if you write your PS on the same topic, try to refrain from being overly repetitive. (Obviously there would have to be some overlap, but perhaps the PS could be more about overcoming the difficulties, whereas the addendum could be more factual). Just my thoughts.

Thank you! Your advice is greatly appreciated (especially because I was in fact going to talk about that in my PS as well).
