App. Formatting Question

Post by bnssweeney » Wed Dec 09, 2015 9:49 pm

Ok so quick application question...

I'm looking at the PDF preview for my apps, and under some of the answers where I couldn't put anything (i.e. VISA information), I left it blank, and it says "no answer provided" in italics. It looks a little sloppy. Should you put N/A in all the boxes that you don't have anything to write? Or just leave it?

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question I'm just curious because having a bunch of prompts with "no answer provided" doesn't look so good...

This does indeed seem like a dumb question. Just leave it. The ad coms are used to seeing the "no answer provided" and will overlook it rather than you responding and changing it up on them (not that they'd necessarily hold it against you if you did change it). Thousands of applicants apply each year and I doubt many put anything in those empty boxes.

This may actually cause trouble if they use some scripts to automatically filter or group responses for statistical purposes.
