Applications - parental info

Post by ae28 » Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:35 pm

Why do they need our parental info on the app? If I mark the "this doesn't apply to me" feature, will this impact me in anyway? I don't see why they need to know anything about my parents.

Pretty sure that's voluntary info. Doesn't the app say that?

It's for SES identification purposes, to determine your background, for diversity identification, etc. Voluntary usually, but you might as well fill it out so that your app is as complete as possible.

If you choose not to disclose it should not negatively affect your application.

Typically it is voluntary and used for identifying student demographic, background,

and/or diversity. You may always call LSAC or the individual school and ask if it has

an impact if you fail to disclose or if it is mandatory.
