169 LSAT, 3.74 GPA

Post by CRC024 » Wed Nov 25, 2015 12:02 am

All,

I am wondering about my chances of getting in to T14 schools. I am from the Philadelphia area and would love to get in to UPenn but I am willing to go where the T14 takes me..

As the topic line suggests, I got a 169 on the LSAT and 3.74 GPA and attended a fairly prestigious school, though not an Ivy League. I graduated in May and am applying to start in 2016. I am working in a law firm currently.

I was president of my fraternity, which I know may be looked down on, but at the same time while I was president my chapter won Fraternity of the Year from the school I attended and we also won our National Office's highest award for chapter excellence. The school I attended awarded me fraternity president of the year.

Otherwise my law school adviser said I had a pretty strong personal statement.

Pretty borderline at Penn with those numbers. Probably around a coinflip chance, I'd say. Definitely not gonna get much if any $ if accepted.

Probably in with money at michigan, cornell, duke, gtown. I'd retake to solidify an acceptance to penn and snag more $ overall.

It's not going to make sense to attend Penn because you will get a lot more $$ at Cornell/Duke/Michigan/Northwestern. You will get full rides outside of t14 but attending Drexel or Temple would be crazy.
