Can you withdraw an early decision application before being accepted?
I applied early decision to Northwestern, but now I am starting to regret it. Northwestern is a great school, and I was initially attracted by their international human rights program. I still think it's a great school, and I don't want to withdraw my application entirely, but is it too late to withdraw the early decision portion? I was 100% certain it was where I wanted to go back in October, but now I'm not so sure. They have not begun sending acceptance or rejection letters. Please help.

If you withdraw ED, I will bet you are not admitted.

Yes.WatchClosely wrote:I also applied early decision to Northwestern, but now have begun to regret it. My question is: If I am accepted early decision at Northwestern, can I get out of this agreement by declining to matriculate in ANY law school this cycle, and delaying the start of my legal career by an additional year?

It's just how ed works, check the ed paperwork but if it's not on there you're prob just gonna have to trust us.WatchClosely wrote:I appreciate the response, but do you mind sourcing that? I haven't found anything official from NU to this effect, so I am curious why you believe the answer is a definite yes.Sweetneers wrote: Yes.
