Interview?

Post by ihenry » Tue Nov 17, 2015 8:18 pm

Recently I've got several Skype interview invitations from T14's, which surprised me as I thought Harvard was the only school doing this. A school said something like "if you do not accept the interview invitation, we will continue to evaluate your file in the absence of it" (paraphrased). Really under what situations do they send these and what do they expect from interviews?

Actually several schools do this. Getting an interview simply means you definitely weren't rejected. They want more info from you, either because they want to vet you before an offer, or you're truly a borderline candidate and they need more angles to consider. Be yourself.

Maybe because I'm a foreigner and they want to confirm I can speak English LOL. Thanks for the info!
