LSAC Transcript Conversion Issues

Post by seagan823 » Tue Nov 10, 2015 1:11 am

Today my transcript was converted to an academic summary report. I am concerned that LSAC may have made a mistake. I would like to know if others think I am right and if so how I should proceed.

LSAC did not include my study abroad credits or grades in my summary report or GPA calculation. My study abroad courses and grades are listed under the heading "transfer credits." For each course the original name, letter grade and number of credits is listed. Immediately below each course name listing is the transfer name given by my university, the credits awarded by my university and the letter grade. For some reason, none of this part of my transcript was included in the summary report. My university required 120 credits for graduation, and listed that I had 126 including my time abroad. LSAC listed only the 111 I earned at my home school.

My primary concern is that is looks like I only finished 111 credits during my undergraduate years. I also am hoping that these grades might somehow be included in my GPA as I earned a 3.93 my semester abroad. My university did not do this, so I can understand if LSAC doesn't either, but the letter grades are there on the transcripts and the credits are included in my graduation requirement.

Any advice? Should I call them? I know LSAC says not to request study abroad transcripts, but if they aren't going to look at the course on my undergraduate institution transcript should I request a transcript from the university I attended while abroad?
