Where should I be looking to apply?

Post by cmgaus » Tue Oct 27, 2015 11:49 am

Hi,

I have taken the LSAT twice now and scored 165 and 167. My GPA is around 3.25 at a small fairly well known liberal arts college. Not URM status, From West Virginia. I am fairly involved at school (tour guide, social media representative, writing center associate, founding member, VP and Honor Board chairman of fraternity, regular volunteer in the community) in addition to holding the same summer job the last 4 years and writing for a sports blog. I know for a fact I will have one very strong letter of rec from a Professor who prides himself on "helping students get into schools they wouldn't otherwise" but not sure about the other one, and I'm pretty sure I have an above average personal statement. I will need significant financial aid.

I know my GPA does not line up with my LSAT score, and that is making it very difficult for me to make any sort of prediction based on last year's class profiles. There are plenty of schools I have looked at (Fordham, GW, etc...) where I am above the 75 percentile LSAT and below the 25th in GPA. I don't really know how to figure all this out so if anyone has any advice on where I should look to apply it would be greatly appreciated.
