Hey everyone,
So I'm in a bit of a unique situation. I am a Canadian, and had only planned on applying to three Canadian schools, all of which do not require letters of reference. I had not planned on applying to the States, as I wasn't sure I would get a 99th percentile score (though PTing in range, anything can happen on test day). My LSAT score came back a couple of days ago as a 179. If I've done the conversions right, my LSAC gpa is between a 3.9 and 4.0.
I am now interested in applying to Harvard, Stanford, and perhaps Chicago and Columbia to broaden my options. I still however, have to register for CAS, request letters from referees, and write excellent personal statements. It is likely at this rate, my application would be complete in late-November, Dec. Additionally, I am a K-JD, so while my softs are good, I don't have too much in terms of work experience.
My questions is, considering the caliber of my target schools, should I wait to apply until next cycle, thereby increasing my odds of getting better scholarships, etc by applying the first day applications are out? This would also give me the chance to gain work experience for a year and save some money. Or is the upside to applying earlier in the cycle fairly minimal, and should I just apply this December?
Thanks everyone!

Applying in December isn't necessarily considered late. You'll be okay if you can apply before December LSAT scores are released.
Harvard and Stanford only offer need-based and not merit aid, FYI.

Weird humble brag but okay. Just tossing out an idea here...apply this cycle, and if you don't like your options, take off a year and apply next cycle...?
