Greetings!
This website has offered me incredible help. I remember how I 'proudly' scored 165 untimed on the LSAT in June before having my confidence crushed as I read some of the LSAT scores people here post.
It honestly got me into a state of determination which led me to where I am now, scoring 174-176 timed on the past ten prep tests I took... A lot of the advice I read on here proved to be a great boon.
Regardless of this, if I do score near that range, I will still be a mild splitter for the T-14s. I am a Finance major in my senior year and my overall GPA is 3.55
I know that going below a 3.5 will destroy my chances at many of the top tier schools. Going to NYU Law is, honestly, my dream.
This semester, however, with LSAT practice, work, and the 18 credits I am taking, I am afraid of my GPA dropping below a 3.5 after this semester is over towards the end of December.
I am taking my LSAT December 5, and by the time I get the grade back early January all the applications will already have been filled out.
The transcript I sent to the LSAC today does not contain the grades I will get for this semester, and I am assuming that law school admission will not see them when they go over my application and credentials in January.
I have two main questions:
1) Is my assumption that they won't see my Fall 2015 grades correct? I will not send them an updated transcript unless they ask for it, and I kind of doubt they will.
2) If my assumption is correct, and I am accepted into a certain school, is it possible that they change my acceptance into a rejection once I send them the completed transcript when I finish my undergraduate program completely?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Lower GPA in Transcript Update
Schools will request your final transcripts, so they will see them; however, you are correct that they probably will not have the updated transcripts when rendering a decision. Nor are they likely to rescind a decision, as the scores that are reported are the ones you apply with.
