C&F Question

Post by Prosplawyer » Tue Oct 13, 2015 3:56 am

In the character and fitness of many of the applications I am looking at it says have you ever been "subject to displinary action". I had attended a university but had withdrawn to take a year off since I was transferring schools. I had to fly back to this university later in the year and foolishly was caught sneaking into the rec center after it was closed with friends and my name was written down. I got an email from the dean about meeting , but since I no longer attended the school we never met and no action was taken. Do I need to disclose this?

If you had never been a student of the school, then I would definitely say "don't disclose." But because you were recently a student of the school, and because the school apparently knew who you were (the dean even sent you an email), there's some chance that this incident was recorded in your school record. I'd call the school and ask about it. If the school doesn't have a record of the incident, then don't disclose.

Thought of this today while thinking about my own C&F addendum: use a Scarface quote i.e. "...you need people like me, so you can point your fucking fingers and say 'that's the bad guy'...'" I think it'll go over very well...

It's not clear that you were subject to any disciplinary action based on the info. shared in your original post in this thread.

If you have to ask: disclose with an addendum.

They knew who I was because I gave my student ID number, I let the dean know I had transferred and he just wished me luck.
