LOR Titling, Assignment, etc.

Post by appellative » Thu Oct 08, 2015 5:38 pm

I am trying to figure out how to assign LORs to a recommender. I have a few specialized letters, and then a general letter that will be sent to most schools.

For the general letter I would like my recommender to be able to specify the school to which the letter is addressed.

For the general letters do I have to make a unique letter for each school? Previously, I had a general letter category and had assigned that to each school, but in that case the recommender would have no opportunity to specify it?

I don't know why this is confusing me so much...

Thanks!

Since it is "general" why worry about specifying schools? Sure, if you assign a letter to multiple schools, the exact same letter will be sent to the schools, and there will be no opportunity to specify.
