early decision "boost" outside of top 20
So I've seen some "studies" before analyzing the kind of boost that students get applying ED, and the reports generally find that there is a small boost, with some exceptions - apparently northwestern gives a big boost to ED.
I'm curious if anyone has seen data on ED chances for law schools outside of the top 20. Schools like Wisconsin, Iowa, BC, etc. I assume that they mostly follow the same pattern as T14 schools - a slight boost in admission chances, with a sizable drop in scholarships/grants, but if anyone has found anything closer to hard data on ED affects outside of top 20 it would be much appreciated

This is the best I've found. Not an exhaustive list, but includes some of the schools you are talking about. While it's a fairly small sample, it looks like most schools outside the t14 did not have a boost for ED. Maybe someone else has found a more inclusive list of schools...

Usually good advice, but I've got outside funding from Uncle Sam that'll cover most of law school. I'll basically be paying for a semester, so scholarships don't matter much in my case. Thanks for the advice though.Mack.Hambleton wrote:You should only be going to those schools with $$$ anyway

Thanks for sharing that, that's one of the links I looked at before - note Northwestern's ED boost - wow.gunton224 wrote:http://admissionsbythenumbers.blogspot. ... ition.html

But yeah, hopefully someone has some hard data on schools outside of the top ones like on that list. I'm mostly looking into Wisconsin for ED.
