LOR Question! Please help!

Post by corgiterrier17 » Sat Sep 26, 2015 6:08 am

Hi all,

is it appropriate to ask professors for extra copy of LOR? or is it rude? I just want to see how he/she wrote about me...

It depends on the professor. Some professors do not feel it is appropriate for the student to see the letter, regardless if it is positive or mediocre. This applies not only to law schools, but even to medical and pharmacy school applicants as well. If you are asking for a letter from a professor or employer, it should be from a person you "know" will write you a strong one. Hence, there will be no need to read what they wrote. It is better to be safe than sorry and trust that the professor wrote a solid letter, validating you as a potential law student.
