Letter of Rec Question
I'm a letter of rec away from applying. Is there a big difference between applying late September and Mid October? just trying to gauge how much I should lean on my writer. Thanks!

You'll be fine. Just don't piss him/her off and have a LOR saying negative things about you.

OK, thanks! Also, does anyone know if mailed in letters of rec really take about 2 weeks to be processed from experience? She wants to mail it innlee10 wrote:You'll be fine. Just don't piss him/her off and have a LOR saying negative things about you.

Re: Letter of Rec Question
Generally, there is not a big difference between applying late September versus mid October. However, you may always call the schools you are specifically applying to and seeing what they suggest or if it even makes a difference.
In terms of processing times, it depends on the school, but just to be safe be prepared to wait minimally two weeks. The admissions department does deal with many applications so if it takes longer than two weeks, try calling in to see if there is anything that can be done to expedite the process.

Two weeks this early in the cycle is not a big deal. Good luck, OP!lakers3 wrote:OK, thanks!
