Unsure About the Best Move to Make
I knew that it was a possibility, but it is still hitting me hard. I am currently PT'ing around 160, and my goal is 170. Right now I am signed up to take the October LSAT.....but I am 98% that I'll also be taking the December LSAT. Originally, I was going to apply in December anyways after my fall grades came in ( GPA sunk last year for personal reasons), but it looks like I will be applying even later. How much will that hurt me this cycle? Should I attempt to take the October LSAT or just move the date to December and cut my losses?
I feel highly discouraged this morning :/

Thank-you. A part of me would still like to take the October LSAT. Will the schools I apply too, automatically see the 160? I only have two finals this year and they fall a week after the LSAT.urbanist11 wrote:It will hurt your cycle less to wait until Dec. and score a 170 than to apply with a 160 in October

Re: Unsure About the Best Move to Make
This semester I am not worried about my grades a 4.0 is really attainable. I had a lot of things going on last semester, so I really am trying to counter balance my low GPA with a decent LSAT score.basedvulpes wrote:If you're already planning to apply in December then there's no benefit to taking the October LSAT, especially if your score won't be good enough.
If you're worried about your grades you might also want to consider sitting out a cycle and taking the test in June or next October to allow yourself to focus exclusively on school. That's probably not advice you want to hear, but it will give you more time to study for the LSAT and submit the best application that you can earlier in the cycle, when you're likely to have better results.

Agree with all of the above. Don't waste a take if you aren't ready.
