There is a bright side to this, though, as long as their medians are also dropping. If enough of the third tier did this, it would push the fourth tier out of business. And while that may seem like plugging one leak while creating another, I think things will be better down the road simply with less law schools.eagle2a wrote:TTT's increasing class sizes is depressing. Increasing scores across the range while keeping their class size just about the same, not many others seem to have accomplished this.TheProdigal wrote:Drexel (Mack)

I get the need for and utility of some of these schools, like Montana (11k/year isn't a bad deal). But there's schools who still have the entering class of 2013 profile front and center on their sites.

Those medians are pretty good considering they have Cooley level employment stats.TheProdigal wrote:Seattle

There are quite a few numbers reported that haven't been plugged into the spreadsheet. BU and BC for example

ABA should mandate law schools to decrease their class sizes for at least 10% off if one of following conditions appear:TheProdigal wrote:Widener Law (DE)

1) LSAT Median less than 150
2) Bar pass rate less than 50%
3) Employment rate less than 50%
After 3 years, if the schools still could not improve their data, ABA should revoke accreditation of those law schools

Re: CLASS OF 2018 MEDIANS! (LSAT/GPA/Class Size)
I disagree with the LSAT median. If a school has a median of 149, but then somehow gets like 95% of graduates to pass the bar and 90% employment (actual employment, not school temp jobs), why should we make them stop? This scenario is of course unlikely to happen, but still—schools should be outcome focused (bar passage and employment rate), not input focused.comet_halley wrote:ABA should mandate law schools to decrease their class sizes for at least 10% off if one of following conditions appear:TheProdigal wrote:Widener Law (DE)

It's probably like 150/166 rather than 163/170 (not literally). If schools leave data out, it's almost certainly unfavorable.KPUSN07 wrote:Would be curious on their 25/75% LSAT scoresHuskies13! wrote:GW:

Re: CLASS OF 2018 MEDIANS! (LSAT/GPA/Class Size)
That very scenario isn't so different form lone schools in smaller states like South Dakota, with a 148 median LSAT but 66.7% LST score (and very few school funded jobs). No need to penalize schools like USD, UND, etc. that serve their state's legal needs with some integrity as to the amount of tuition they charge.emkay625 wrote:I disagree with the LSAT median. I'd be good with those proposals if there were an exception for schools like USD, UND, Idaho, Montana, etc. Though the mandatory reduction probably isn't necessary - a threat of no accreditation would be enough.

I would think that an exception for schools which are the only schools in their state would cover all the schools you're talking about - WVU, too.AT9 wrote:That very scenario isn't so different form lone schools in smaller states like South Dakota, with a 148 median LSAT but 66.7% LST score (and very few school funded jobs).
