JSD Program Funding

Post by NigeranOU » Sun Jul 26, 2015 4:38 am

Can someone explain this to me? NYU is my top choice so I want to know all my financing options.

Please read this short page from their website http://www.law.nyu.edu/llmjsd/jsdprogram/funding

You know the JSD is a doctorate, right? That is, not a fake doctorate like the JD, but an actual PhD equivalent designed for you to go into academia, not into practice? It requires you to have the equivalent of a JD and LLM already. (I ask because your other posts have seemed to address ordinary JD admissions.) The page is simply saying if you get admitted to that program you will be fully funded - this is typical of doctoral programs.
